I joined a bug themed weeks drawing challenge in which you came up with an artwork for a prompt each day.
The prompts were: 1 - BUG IS COSY, 2 - BUG IS SLOW, 3 - BUG IS HAPPY, 4 - BUGS THAT GLOW, 5 - BUG IS ROUND, 6 - BUG IS BLUE and 7 - BUG THAT FINALLY MET YOU.
I decided to turn them all into a short narrative combined with illustrations, which you can read below...
It's breezy, but this little bug is bundled up, cosy against the morning chill. Adventure awaits, and a mountain to climb...
The bug's goal may be the mountain, but that doesn't mean he can't take in all the beauty along the way.
After thousands of bug steps on a steep, winding track, the bug made it to the mountain summit! The view from the top filled his tiny body with a joy that seemed to have no horizon.
The bug made his descent down the mountain when music drifted on the wind. He spied a hole in the rock and had a peek... a little cave filled with bugs that glow, sway and move to and fro.
Night was falling and after a long day of walking, the bug needed a kip. Soon he found a spot, hidden and safe and as he curled up tight he was off like a light.
The little bug woke up early, keen to head home before too many giants stomped the hills. He climbed upon a cornflower to plot his quickest route, the landscape stretched in tones of blue before him yet to be fully coloured-in by the sun.
The human meanders the walking path, eyes darting about keen to spot a critter or two... and finally, a teeny, beautiful bug crosses the path at the right time. Huzzah!
The End.
