I was asked to create three window designs for White Orchard that were to be themed on the story of Aladdin as their shop is often nicknamed 'the Aladdin's Cave'. I decided to break down the story into three different themes, 'love', 'treasure' and 'magic'.
For this window design, I am highlighting the magical elements of the Aladdin story. Each of the windows in situ have a slightly different magical theme - air, water and earth.
The 'Air' window features a dragon, birds and a night sky, the 'Water' window features a mermaid, fish, shells and seaweed, the 'Earth' window features flowers, a mouse, a horse, a crocodile and an elephant. These are all conjured out of the golden lamp, with the genie creating all the magic in a swirl of white and purple cloud.
