I was a part of the mini-mural arts trail in Shrewsbury, themed around local folk tales and legends. My story was of the Phantom Coach of the Lion Hotel. As I was given five bollards, front and back, and I decided the story would be best told as a sequential piece.
Starting at the Lion Hotel, the scene is set. A candle is lit in one of the bedrooms and a figure is lurking in the background.
We then see that the figure was the Lion Hotel's housekeeper and that she is worried about something she sees through the window.
We look above the rooftops and see a mysterious coach and horses flying through the sky.
The coach is reflected in the housekeepers eye.
We then see a few close-ups of the ghostly carriage, starting with the horses legs...
...the whole coach with a hurried driver...
...drool cascading out of the horses mouth...
...and finally the mad coach driver himself!
We see the coach driver wooosshhhh past the housekeeper's window...
...and the candle extinguish.
