I was asked by Hive Shrewsbury to do some illustrations for their Christmas campaign. Celebrating three case studies from participants on their projects that year, exploring how they've benefited from being part of them, despite being online via Zoom. These were to go out on social media, and to feature in their window display.
I was first asked to illustrate a Facebook banner around the theme of #HiveTogether. To include a bit of a Christmas vibe, but mainly convey coming together online with creativity.
My next three illustrations were to capture showcase participants Jack, Alley and the band Just Y as posters and for social media. I was provided with reference photos to work from and some information of their hobbies to be used as a background pattern.
I was also asked to design the cover for The Hive annual brochure. The design was to celebrate their beautiful garden, and the events that can be held there.
During the pandemic, I was also asked by them to create some colouring-in sheets that could be downloaded and printed at home. These were sponsored by Hidden Waterways, and so the designs were themed on the wildlife and activities along Shropshire's canals and rivers.
